What’s Ripe – September 16, 2020

What a week! I hope you all are dealing with the foul air okay, it’s been a tough week concerning that and everything else. But the farm keeps producing, and here we are.

Apropos of nothing currently happening on the farm, I’m posting this just to have some blue sky to look at.

This we’ll have:

O’Henry Peaches – $4.00/lb.
Honey Nectar Peach Cots (HNC) – $4.00/lb
Blood Cling Peaches – $4.00lb.
Italian Plums – $4.00/lb.
Elephant Heart Plums – $4.00/lb.
McIntosh Apples – $3.50/lb.
Coxs Orange Pippin Apples – $3.50/lb.
Swiss Arlet Apples – $3.50/lb.
Hosui Asian Pear – $3.50/lb.
Shenseiki Asian Pear – 3.50/lb.
Romano green beans – $6.00/lb.
Tomatoes – $5.00/lb.
Cherry Tomatoes, Orange or Red – $4.00/pint
Honey 20 oz, net wt. – $20.00/pt.
We have a couple boxes of gravenstein apples, too soft for fresh eating, but would be great for applesauce, inquire if you’re interested.

and we’ll send you an invoice through Square which you can pay, and then pick up your order at the market on Saturday. Please get your order in by 9am on Friday. Thank you!

Blood Cling Peach, a culinary peach, more tart then sweet and tasty.

The Fall apples and other fruits are starting to come in and finally the Elephant Heart plums, a favorite of many, including me. This will most likely be the last week for peaches.
