Hello – We hope this finds you all doing well and healthy and enjoying the new season. It’s always a wonder to see the change from dormancy to the wild exuberance of Spring.
The bloom seems to be a little on the early side, considering how cold it’s been until just over a week ago. The last week has been quite warm, just in time for the soft-fruit bloom and providing favorable conditions for the bees to be out working in the flowers. Still a ways off to know whether or not there will be any fruit, but here’s to a successful fruit set!
I’m looking forward to getting back to the market, probably early in July. I’m guessing we’ll still need masks and some distancing. Liz and I have had both doses of the vaccine, it feels good to be seeing progress happening on the Covid front (and others too!)
